Editorial Content

Washingtonian is noted for its rankings area businesses, professionals, and people. Such rankings have included top physicians, top neighboorhoods, and top places to dine.
Perhaps, its most significant undertaking is its ranking of the area's 80,000 lawyers. The publication's lawyer rankings effort is lead by national editor Kim Eisler (External Link). The lists have come out in 2007, 2004, 2001, 1998 and 1995. Washingtonian's ranking is significant in that it assigns a ranking position to the "Top 30" lawyers in the area.
In years past, the number one ranked lawyer has included: Theodore B. Olson (2007), Robert B. Barnett (2004), Michele A. Roberts (2001), and Brendan V. Sullivan (1998). 2007 Top 30 list: 1.
